Hey, hey! Its Friday! Are you all as excited for the weekend as I am? We spent another week away from home enjoying a change of scenery. Remember when I used to say, “Week 4 of virtual learning in the books…”? Well, it’s now week 20-something and the boys are still going strong. I am truly so very proud of them and have loved giving them the opportunity to eLearn in a new environment and go swimming or to the park after school! With that, I’m excited to share this week’s The Friday Five!
To catch up on all of the posts in The Friday Five series, you can see them all here.
Come and see what tidbits I have for you today!
THE FRIDAY FIVE
A DARLING WAFFLE TOP YOU CAN DRESS UP OR DOWN
I stumbled upon the CUTEST oversized waffleknit top! It has balloon sleeves, a v-neck and fun raw hem details!
Plus its super soft! There are tons of colors in this top and I love that you can pair it with jeans and heels or joggers and sneakers. Versatility for the win!
I’m in a size small in the khaki color. Love the pink one – perfect for Valentine’s Day!
While I didn’t get a full Amazon Haul ready for you this month, be on the lookout for one in February. I have a couple of goodies already plus more on the way!
SPICE DRAWER GOALS
I stopped by my Aunt’s house to see her recent Kitchen and Master Bath remodel and of course every inch of it GORGEOUS! She’s thrilled to have the construction completed and all of the dust and tarps cleaned up, but there’s one little spot she’s especially excited about — her newly organized spice drawer.
It really is about the little things in life, right?!
I’ll have to share more of her Kitchen and Bath, but for now, here’s a glimpse of her spices ha!
She used this 3-tier spice drawer organizer insert, these spice bottles + this label set.
Spice drawer goals [and envy]! Anyone else so inspired by this?!
We keep our spices in this revolving rack and then have a tiered organizer in a cupboard above it, but I’m rethinking our set-up entirely. Something about seeing this drawer with perfectly labeled little jars is so satisfying.
DRUG STORE MASCARA FIND
My 5 Recent Beauty Buys were on the blog this week, but since those products were higher-end, I thought I’d share a recent drug store beauty buy – this mascara!
Although I primarily use this mascara and have for the last year or so, I do l like to try new ones every couple of months. In order to not break the bank with each purchase, I opt for less expensive tubes. This one is under $10!
THE “HONEYMOON” RING
The diamond in my engagement ring came loose, so I stopped wearing it! While it’s being repaired, I have a substitute 🙂
This ring has been a popular Stella & Dot piece for years! It’s often referred to as the “honeymoon” ring since brides purchase it to wear on their finger while they’re real diamond stays locked up in the safe or maybe it stays home and doesn’t even make the trip at all!
It’s a gorgeous ring for only $42!. It looks GOOD, you guys!
The perfect substitute for vacation [especially beach trips], workouts or anywhere you’re not comfortable wearing the real deal. Even if it’s insured, no one wants to lose or damage their wedding or engagement ring.
You can purchase your honeymoon ring here!
HEART SHAPED CHARCUTERIE BOARD
Since February is next week, I thought it would be a good time to start recirculating some of my Valentine’s Day content. A couple years ago, I created a Sweets & Strawberries board and last year, I made a heart-shaped Charcuterie board [or fruit & cheese snack board].
The full tutorial is here, but I simply created a heart shape with lines of fruit and cheese [in an ombre color pattern] and then outlined the heart with crackers.
The perfect stay-at-home snack board for your kids or family to enjoy for Valentine’s Day! I’m thinking of what I can make this year for the kids. Something cute and fun! I’ll let you know if I come up with something – of course it will be on the blog if I do!!
