Hooray, hooray! Today is Friday! The boys are off school and I’m looking forward to all being home together! Gosh, its strange to admit, but now that they’ve been back in the classroom this week, I’ve missed them! I know I’ll be be ready come Monday, but a 3 day weekend is always nice. I’ve also been missing you on our Fridays. It’s been several weeks since I popped in with some favorite finds and tidbits, so today I’m here with a new Friday Five!
Come on over and get comfy! Let’s chat!!

THE FRIDAY FIVE
We are back from Spring Break and the boys are back to the classroom 4 days per week [with the exception of today because of Good Friday], but it feels so incredibly nice to get in the groove again. Things aren’t normal yet, per se, but its as close as its been to our normal in almost 13 months!!
Here are some of my random tidbits, happenings, sales and favorites from throughout the week!
ONE // MY GO-TO NIGHT OUT LOOK
I tend to always grab for a black top, jeans and heels to head out for a date night or girls night. I always try to mix some color in every now and then, but its pretty much guaranteed you’ll spot me in black 90% of the time!
I’ve been loving the shoulder pad look lately and you can find these tops everywhere now. They are like a crew neck muscle tank with a little extra padding in the shoulders 😉
I picked mine up at a boutique in Lake Geneva, but here are several options under $30 if you want to try the hot trend!
one // two // three // four // five
Of course, I even found one on Amazon! Its so similar to my pricier version!
shoulder pad tee // boyfriend jeans // belt // heels // sunglasses
TWO // SPRING BREAK SUCCESS
We just got home from 10 days in Arizona and had another fabulous trip! In case you missed it, we spent 4 weeks there earlier this year while the boys were eLearning, but were still thrilled to be right back down again for Spring Break!
The weather started off warm in the 80s and then cooled down to mid-high 60’s for our last few days. It didn’t matter one bit to the boys though. They were still pool bound every single day!
Our family did a walking tour at the Southwest Wildlife Conservation and we had a ball. It was fun to see different types of animals then we would see at the zoo. We saw mountain lions, coyotes, wolves, bears, a 175 pound tortoise.
We also found a great waterpark near my parents’. When we arrived, we were shocked to hear that it was only $1 entry fee for the whole family during Family Swim that day! The boys swam and played their hearts out for an entire afternoon.
We also discovered a brand new parked called Gilbert Regional which was absolutely perfect for all ages. We spend just under 2 hours there, but they could have stayed all day. They even had a lawn area with a live band playing at the amphitheater on a random Tuesday. Super fun spot to check out if you’re local or are visiting the Phoenix area.
I was able to unplug and unwind with a couple good books! Some days by the pool and other times sitting out back at my mom and dad’s while the boys played. I just shared my latest 5 reads on the blog yesterday!
THREE // BOGO 50% OFF SHOES
The Target Buy One, Get One 50% off shoe sale at Target ends on Saturday! There are soooo many goodies. Here are the ones I’ve picked up over the last few weeks for Spring and Summer.

Its taking every ounce of my willpower to not buy anymore!! The sale is for women’s, men’s and kid’s shoes so now is definitely the time to stock up on your Spring sandals for the family!
