The Friday Five

My goodness Friday came fast! They say time flies when you’re having fun — or in our case, moving ha! We’ve been in the desert for a week now so I thought I would pop in with The Friday Five and chat with you guys for a bit today! I shared our 4th of July weekend snapshots earlier this week, so come and see what else has been going on over here!

THE FRIDAY FIVE

ONE // AZ LIFE FOR A WHOLE WEEK + FIRST DIP IN OUR POOL

I still pinch myself that we actually live in Arizona now! And that we’ve been here an entire week already! We have the keys to our house but are still staying at my parent’s until our pods are delivered next week. It looks like they are going to be staggered over several days, with one pod coming at a time. I’m clueless as to what is exactly in each pod, but I guess we’ll find out when we open the door!

Yesterday, we took the boys over to the new house for the first time after camp. We gave them a tour [they were SO excited to see their rooms] and then they swam. Pure joy watching them jump in and play in the pool. I know there will be countless memories made in that backyard.

TWO // LIVING IN THESE TANKS

I finally ordered the black and coffee version of that white ribbed knit tank I shared a while back. It was a little bit see through but I loved the fit and feel of it, so I decided to try a couple other colors. The coffee version is so pretty! I have a regular bra tucked up under the straps, but a strapless would probably be best.

The tank is a ribbed knit, racer-back style and very soft & stretchy. Great length too. Easy to throw on with jeans or shorts!

THREE // FAVORITE SWIMSUIT THIS YEAR 

I first shared this suit in the Spring in an Amazon Haul [see it here] and its turned out to be my favorite suit so far this year. I’m constantly trying new clothing & swimwear and this one checks all the boxes. Its flattering fits great, has darling ruffle detail, v-neck, great bottom coverage and is comfortable to wear!

I love the mix of the stripes and solid material, so here are some similar options since it seems like my suit is running low on inventory.

FOUR // CURRENTLY READING

I finished The Island a few days after we got here so my aunt gave me The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave to read next. The thrill and suspense hit right at the start. I’m not sure how much downtime I’ll have once we start getting boxes to unpack, but I’m going to try to sneak in as many pages as possible this weekend!

It came out in May and is #1 on the Amazon charts this week!

FIVE // KIMONO LOVE

I should have an entire post dedicated to my kimono obsession lately, but for now, I’ll share with you in the Friday Five! This gorgeous hot pink kimono with mini white polka dots is back in stock! It has the prettiest ruffle hem and is great with jean shorts or over a swimsuit!

Its only $17 and is a one size fits all. The length is generous and I’m 5’4″. It also comes with a string to tie around your waist if you want!
