Happy Friday! Did you set your alarm to go beat the streets or you are you on the couch perusing the sales online in your jammies?! I’ve never been a big Black Friday shopper in the stores, but I’ve been scouring the deals all week! We had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday in our new home and although the food coma hit us hard last night, we’re all excited for leftovers for lunch today! I’m back today with The Friday Five, so grab your drink and lets hang out – its been awhile!!

ICYMI: MY ONE ROOM CHALLENGE REVEAL!
My 8 week Kitchen + Family Refresh is finished! I revealed the two spaces here last week! It was so wonderful to have the spaces ready to host for the holidays! I absolutely love how these two rooms feel now – light, bright & fresh!

I’m already scheming which room I’ll be tackling in the Spring ORC and I have it narrowed down to a few contenders. There are so many options in a new house! For now I’ll be focusing on the holidays & then let the projects begin again in 2022!!
OUR NEW PENCIL CHRISTMAS TREE
Speaking of our Family Room, I had a slight dilemma when trying to figure out where to put a Christmas tree in here. The room is one large open space with no real corners, except for on the kitchen side. The back right corner leads to our Master Bedroom & the Left corner is a walkway into the Living & Dining Room.
Since I love having my new Olive tree in the itty bitty corner next to the built-ins, I decided that might be the only place for a Christmas tree! I ordered this skinny 9′ pencil tree to try out. The tree arrived & it is absolutely perfect. It was easy to set up, the lights are bright & full and it is SO cute! I also love that there is a hint of white, but its not a full-fledged flocked tree.
If you want a Christmas tree in a room you think there isn’t room for one, consider purchasing this cutie.
It makes me so happy to sit on the couch watching TV by the glow of the tree.
We put our 9′ flocked tree [its on sale & stunning!] in the corner of the Living Room and it looks great!
Here it is in our Family Room last Christmas in our old house.
I don’t have any ornaments up yet, but when I’m finished decorating, you’ll get to see everything in my Christmas Home tours coming up soon!
I shared a peek at our Outdoor Fireplace all ready for Christmas here. We enjoyed drinks by the fire before & after our Thanksgiving meal yesterday and it was wonderful!
A GREAT LBD
Its officially holiday party season, so time to bust out the sparkles & sequins! If you’re looking for something you can wear Fall through Spring, I’ve got a great little black dress for you. I wore this one sleeve LBD to an October wedding and love that it can carry me through the holidays & beyond.
I also found this same dress in a gold or black sequin version!!
My sparkles will be in the form of my shoes, bag or jewelry! You could totally dress this thing way up. I love that one arm is totally bare while the other is fully covered. Its a shorter style, with great ruching in the tummy + a well-placed, flattering bow. The material is thick & structured so you feel really pulled in.
I’m wearing a size 4.
2 HOLIDAY PANT MUST-HAVES
If you’re looking for little more laid-back holiday style, these 2 pants are holiday must-haves! I think they should be front & center in your closet Fall & beyond, but the holidays are a perfect time to wear them if you want dressier than jeans, but don’t feel like putting on a dress or skirt!
I’ve shared these burgundy faux leather straight leg pants & these black faux leather joggers, but if you don’t have either or both yet, I’m calling these the holiday pants of the season.
