Snapshots from Our Easter Weekend 2023

easter weekend snapshots - this is our bliss

Another beautiful, fun-filled Easter weekend has come & gone. The weather was gorgeous! Between sports, church, brunch, multiple egg hunts, and the Masters, we soaked in a lot of family time! Here are a few Snapshots from our Easter Weekend.

EASTER WEEKEND SNAPSHOTS

The first egg hunt was at Winston’s preschool on Friday afternoon. I helped hide the eggs before the pre-k chaos came running through the doors! The teacher had a great idea to ensure everyone got the same amount of eggs and that the hunt lasted more than 30 seconds.

Each child was assigned a number and then she wrote the number on their hand so they didn’t forget. Then she marked all of the eggs with an equal amount of each number 1-12. It worked out perfectly!! And it turned out to be a true “hunt” vs just diving for the first eggs you see!

After a morning of soccer & baseball [and a team egg hunt for t-ball], our neighborhood hosted an egg hunt in the greenbelt of our subdivision which started and ended before I could take any pics!

Back-to-back baseball games Saturday night and then off to bed so everyone could get some sleep before the early morning egg hunt!

The boys wanted to check out their Easter baskets before looking for eggs in the backyard, so after digging through and checking out the goods, we headed out back!

Although I shared the CUTEST Easter baskets & Easter basket filler ideas, I was planning to use our woven baskets from last year, but then remembered I was using them on our back patio to hold goggles & sunscreen underneath one of our side tables!

So, at the last minute, I quickly picked up these teal plastic bins from Dollar Tree and added little cloth bunny appliques with double-sided tape to the front!

Robes and all! And yes, it was actually pretty warm out, so I guess these boys officially have thin Arizona blood now!!

We all headed in to get ready for the 9:30 church service.

Obligatory family mirror selfie. I make them take this when we’re all dressed up!

It was such a beautiful day and since our church has a large, open campus, they had bubble blowers, balls and photobooths set-up outside. They played a little before we went inside, but the lines for the photo walls were too long, so we just took our own.

After church, we went to my Aunt’s house for brunch.

The boys swam, the guys watched the Masters & played washers and the ladies hung out and sipped Rose.

It was lovely 😉

Filled to the brim with egg casserole, sticky buns and chocolate pie, we went home to watch the tail end of the Masters before sending everyone off to bed. Mondays are always tough but especially after a holiday weekend!

And that’s a wrap!
