THE FRIDAY FIVE
ONE // BACK-TO-SCHOOL SNAPSHOTS
Yes, already! We started back to school here in Arizona this week and while it seems so early, we actually love the modified year-round school year schedule. It’s a short 7-week Summer, but we get 2 weeks off in the Fall, 3 weeks for the holidays and another 2 weeks in the Spring. By the 4th of July, the kids are sick of swimming and bored inside! We love it!
The first day started with lots of tears for Mom. We sent our last baby off to Kindergarten, which I wasn’t sure I was going to be ready for. And the other boys to 6th and 4th grade. Sixth grade is still in the elementary schools here, so next year, I’ll be a puddle again sending my biggest to Junior High.
Everyone did great! The boys took such good care of Winston – held hands walking up, big tight hugs and a few quick smooches.
I can not with these photos!
They are truly his biggest cheerleaders and I couldn’t be more proud. I held it together until I turned to walk back to the car after watching him walk through the gate. The emotions were real and raw. So much pride. So many nerves. So much hope. So many snippets of the first five years flashing before me. Not wanting to let go of his little hand.
They all have had a fantastic start to the school year and by next week, we’ll be fully back in the groove of our school routine!
TWO // THE PRETTIEST SWIM COVER-UP SARONG [& ITS ONLY $15]
I realize I’m chatting back-to-school and swimsuits in the same breath, but if you haven’t already snagged this sarong with fringe, do it now!
It’s bright and fun and perfect for your end-of-Summer vacations or just a day at the pool. There are multiple colors & patterns available – I love them all!

THREE // NEW-TO-ME SUNSCREEN FAVS
Yep, more Summer finds! But hey, y’all have another month left, so since mine is over, let me share what got me through!
supergoop play // kopari gold // glow shimmer spray // shisheido stick // hat
This one and this one are great for adding a subtle shimmer to your skin. I’ve used this shimmer sunscreen spray for a couple years now, but this gold pump one was so pretty – its made with macademia and hibiscus oils as well as avocado and coconut oil with Kopari’s signature sweet coconut milk scent.
And this stick is great for your face! The kids’ too! SPF 50+!
FOUR // THE BEST WHITE JEANS [& WHITE BRACELET STACK]
If you’re looking for a good pair of white denim, look no further. I found the most comfortable, flattering, not-see-through white jeans. I truly can’t say enough good things about this pair! They fit so nicely and I love the button-fly.
sweater // white jeans // strappy heels // bracelets
They are a high-rise jean with a raw hem, but there is no destruction throughout which is great when you want a cleaner look.
Wearing a size 6 in them.
I mix and match a few from this white bracelet stack with my gold bracelets. They go with EVERYTHING!
striped button down [sized up to a large] // white bodysuit [small] // jeans // bracelets + these & the white one from this set
FIVE // TWO COUNTRY CONCERTS IN A WEEK! + WHAT I WORE
Not only was it back to school this week, but I managed to squeeze in a couple of concerts as well! I had the opportunity to see Garth Brooks in Vegas last weekend on a whim and then had tickets to Morgan Wallen on Wednesday for night one of his Phoenix shows.
Both were incredible, but I have to say, seeing Garth was a check off my bucket list and the fact there were only 4300 seats at the Coliseum at Ceasars Palace AND he didn’t allow cell phones, it was probably my favorite of the two. The incredible music, nostalgic songs with such an intimate, engaged audience was an experience like no other!
What I wore to Garth…
denim dress [size small, but size up if in between] // boots [from Nashville] // purse [similar here]
Morgan on the other hand was a sold-out show of 50,000 fans at Chase Field, so a totally different type of show.
He put on an amazing concert, but the experience was slightly diminished due to the A/C not functioning properly so we were all extremely hot! He played all of his hits – +new and old, but I’m pretty sure it was 95 degrees inside the stadium!
Despite the discomfort that night, I would absolutely see him again in a heartbeat!
What I wore to Morgan Wallen…
skirt // tank // faux leather studded vest // clear stadium purse // black rhinestone western belt
I am wearing a size small in everything, except I sized up to a medium in the skirt. You can also shop my outfit by clicking here.
I have more concert pictures and videos up in stories if you want to take a peek!
That’s it for today! I hope you all have a beautiful weekend!
